"But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word" (Acts 6:4).

The number one priority of the leaders of the early church was prayer. It appears the church has lost the significance of prayer, which is the God given power to the church. Churches are filled with social events, committees, programs, seminars and etc. Each may be useful, but are time consuming eaters.
The early church turned the world upside down. Unbelievers said, "These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also" (Acts 17:6b).
I urge each person and church leader to make this a year of prayer for your community and country.

"...Whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31b).

It is a wonderful day for a person when they realize what it cost God on the middle cross at Calvary for a Christian to disregard peer pressure, and conform in every aspect of life to the word of God.
Jesus said, "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4).
Paul said, "But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world" (Galatians 6:14).
Jesus nor Paul conformed to peer pressure.

"Thou ( God ) wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee" (Isaiah 26:3).

We live in a day of chaos. A day of spiritual darkness. A day when there is no stability. A day of distrust between each other. A day when fear tactics are thrown at us from all directions.
God's remedy is His word for days like we live in. God's word is an absolute counteraction of all Satan and world has add together.
Here is another of God's word for stability. "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness" (Isaiah 41:10).
 Wow!!!

 • "And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered ALL" (1 Samuel 30:19).
 • "And he - Abram-ham - brought back ALL the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people (Genesis. 14:16).

Because of God's help, the above Scriptures are very encouraging when the enemy has captured families. Many of us have family members who our enemy, Satan, has captured and carried away. God and his whole armor are available to us to win back our lost family members (Ephesians 6:11-18).

"Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season" (Hebrews 11:25).

Moses, chose not to let power, riches, or pleasure rob him of God. He said, "Good‐by old world. I am chosing God."
Are you allowing social media, sports, television, pets, busy work, long social coffee breaks, or comfort to rob God of your time? Jesus was sent by his Father to seek and to save that which is lost. After the resurrection, Jesus said, "As the Father has sent me So SEND I YOU" (John 20:21b).
Do you think Moses has any regrets about the choice he made some 3500 years ago?

17 "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works" (James 2:17-18).

Jesus, when asked about signs of His second coming, first replied "watch that you are not deceived". Faith without obedience to God's word is a deceiving faith. Obedience to God is a fruit of salvation.
James wrote about deceiving faith. "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works" (James 2:17-18).
When God told Abraham to leave his country, it is written, "So Abram, not knowing where he was going, departed as the LORD had spoken to him" (Genesis 12:4; Hebrews 11:8).

"For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ" (John 1:17).
"We have access by faith into God's grace" (Romans 5:2).

God's grace is abounding. It abounds in sufficiency for every circumstance in life. God's grace abounds in revelation in the knowledge of the God of glory. The knowledge of the God of glory is an absolute truth that never changes. Absolute truth always brings freedom, peace, tranquility, and stability to those who have received the grace that came by Jesus Christ.
Praise and glory to God. Where sin abounded, grace abounded more.

"Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;" (Psalm 91:9).

This verse promises benefits for those who make God their habitation.
  #1. Protection from evil. (vs.10).
  #2. Protection from plagues. (vs.10).
#3. Angels as guards in times of danger. (vs.11).
  #4. Power over enemies. (vs.13).
The cross made this a reality for today. (John 15:1-5). Jesus speaks about being the vine and His branches. The branches make their habitation in the Vine. All who have met the conditions of John 15 are His branches.
I urge you to place your confidence in God's word. Archeology has confirmed the truth of the bible.

"And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed" (Genesis 32:28).

While I was taking a shower this morning (2/28/25), God beginning to talk to me. God's Spirit said to my spirit, "Whatever I want for your life, you are to be satisfied with." That was a huge encouragement and a very good lesson for me. The longer I walk with God the more I love the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Later in Jacob's life, God renamed Jacob to Israel. God said, "Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men" (Genesis 32:28).

"Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name" (Psalm 91:14).

This verse is packed with exceedingly, great, mighty, and precious promises. But it is conditional.
#1. One must set ones love on God. Love is a voluntary act of the will.
A lawyer asked Jesus how to inherit eternal life. Jesus replied, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with 'All' thy heart, and with 'All' thy soul, and with 'All' thy strength, and with 'All' thy mind" (Luke 10:27).
I urge you to continually hunger and thirst after God, that you may always meet the condition of #1 in Psalm 91:14.

Mar 17, 2025(M11)

"Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name" (Psalm 91:14).

Love is a compounded word. Love is to act vehemently or intensely. Because love is always active, and will act in every possible way; for he who loves is, with all his affection and desire, carried forward to the beloved object, in order to possess and enjoy it. The above will help us to understand the following.

"Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name" (Psalm 91:14).

 • Condition #1 is love.
 • Condition #2 is to know his name.

Because, of love, God's name has highest priority. Therefore God will set him on high. High, means protection, and honor.
What Is Your Highest Priority?

"8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. 9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?" (Genesis 3:8-9).

In the garden, God initiated the return of Adam and Eve back to fellowship with God. (Genesis 3:9).
Christ, the only begotten Son of God, said, "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10).
Revelation 22 ends with the Spirit and the church seeking the lost. "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst Come. and whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely" (Revelation 22:17).
After Christ's resurrection, He said, "as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you" (John 20:21b).
Jesus has shown His confidence in those who willingly make themselves available to seek the lost.

"For whatsoever things were written were written for our learning" (Romans 15:4a).

Exodus 1:1 to Deuteronomy 34:12 are God’s instructions concerning His power, His provisions, His wisdom, His understanding and His knowledge.
It teaches the value of salvation, the rewards for obedience and the consequences of disobedience.
These were Abraham's descendants and had been under the oppression of idolatry and heathenism for many years. God was in the process of teaching them. They were made for God and not for the world. God taught them that ignoring His word resulted in separation from Him.
