"The LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart" (1 Samuel 13:14).

In the USA, for the last few years, chaos has been rampamt. People have been gripped with fear from every direction. The foundation our nation was build on is eroding. This is not the first time this has happened to a nation in history.
Prior to the reign of King David, we read of similar circumstances all over Israel as we have today in our nation. But God was still in in control.
The greatest weapon God has given His church is prayer. I ask that each person who reads this will join me in the following prayer:
 • "My father, I pray all the followers of Christ's church will begin to seek diligently to be a person after God's own heart. In Jesus's name.

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." (Genesis 1:1).

The first thing God teaches man in his written word is that God provides before the need. God provided the heaven to set the earth in. He placed the Earth in the Milky Way Galaxy. The weight of the Milky Way is approximately 1.5 trillion times the mass of our Sun. But the Milky Way is only half the weight of the Andromeda Galaxy.
Not only does our God provide before the need, He is a mighty God and is powerful and full of wisdom and knowledge and understanding. Yet He cared enough for us to become flesh so He could make atonement for every person's sin who would turn and wholly follow Jesus.

"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee? (Jeremiah 31:3).

One of the great revelations about God is his everlasting love for mankind. God does not love the wickedness men commit.
But because of God's everlasting love, He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to be rejected, despised and spit on. Also, He was beaten with no mercy and crowned with a crown of thorns.
For man's sin, His son was nailed to a cross and was mocked by the religious leaders of that day. This displayed to the world the living God's everlasting love for all mankind.

"It is written, Man shall live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4).

In the Old Testament God, as a great King, begin to build the nation Israel, starting in Exodus. His people were to be different than other people. He set standards for His people. He enforced the standards.
After the birth of Christ, King Jesus begin building a Church strictly with volunteers. Jesus stopped enforcing standards. Standards are for those who accept them to honor King Jesus.
Jesus put his stamp on every word in the Old Testament when He said, "It is written, Man shall live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). That would include standards. He only uses volunteers.
I delight in God's word. Honor, glory and blessings belong to my King Jesus.

Hebrews 1:1-8 is very informative about Christ.

  1. In these last days, God’s son Jesus has spoken to us. (Heb.1:2)
  2. He is the express image of the God the Father. (Heb.1:3)
  3. Jesus upholds (maintaining and guiding the universe) by the word of his power. (Heb.1:3)
  4. Jesus purged our sins. (Heb.1:3)
  5. Jesus sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high (God the Father). (Heb.1:3)
  6. God said of His Son, "Let all angels of God worship him (Jesus)." (Heb.1:6)
  7. God the Father said to the Son Jesus, "Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: thy kingdom is a kingdom of righteousness." (Heb.1:8)
Oh what a mighty God we have.
Jesus warns us in Matthew (Mt.24:4-5; Mt.24:11) about being deceived in the last days. Many are ruled by the wisdom of this world today.

But unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, ... Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end. (Isaiah 9:6-7)

Money can not measure the cost of the birth of Christ. He was born, flesh of our flesh, to be sacrificed by crucifixion as the Lamb of God for our sin.
I would rather have the Lamb of God than silver or gold, or riches untold, or world wide fame.
Those things are temporal. The things of this world are temporary. The Lamb of God, who sits on the throne and liveth forever, is a mighty God who gives eternal benefits to those that worship Him.
Place your trust and confidence in Jesus.

 • "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4)
 • "The word of the Lord endureth for ever." (1 Peter 1:25a)

One traveling from New York to London has two options; a ship or airplane. A person traveling from Kansas City to New York has at least six options. A person buying the Christian Bible in the USA has many options.

 • "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4)

What Jesus spoke is not optional. Be sure the translation of the Bible you are reading is translated close to the original Greek and Hebrew words that God's word was written in. Man is not going to be judged by translations, but by God's word. You can trust in God's word. It is not optional.

 • "The word of the Lord endureth for ever." (1 Peter 1:25a)

Feb 23, 2026(N08)

  • The disciples asked "What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you" (Matthew 24:3-4).
 • ”I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another" (Isaiah 42:8a).
 • For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: (Exodus 34:14).

The New Testament, and the Old Testaments were written for our instructions and learning. Today there are many gods. Pleasure, sports. Such as ball games, hunting and fishing. Money, fame, and power. Pet animals and etc.
Please consider the above scriptures seriously.

Ask yourself, "What is my top priority in life"?

Mar 02, 2026(N09)

For many years, God has been my entertainment. I have a love letter that is very precious to me. And I love to read my love letter. I've been reading it for a little over sixty years. Yes, it takes more than the soap bubbles of this world to entertain me.
I knocked at death's door again this year. I have no idea how many people have come into my hospital room just to be ministered to in the five days I have been here. I have had my little books (ten per package) laying on a stand by my bed. Doctors, nurses, and others have come in and taken my books. As I understand it, some books have been given to other patients. It is a wonderful privilege God has given me to have Him entertain me.
Praises to Jesus

BELOW ARE ONLY THE WORDS OF THE LIVING GOD.

 • "And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery." (Matthew 19:9)
 • "Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." (Matthew 19:6)
 • "Thou shalt not commit adultery." (Exodus 20:14)
 • "Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city." (Revelations 22:14)
 •  "For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie." (Revelations 22:15)

Mar 16, 2026(N11)

"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created" (Revelation 4:11).

Many people live for their own pleasure. They are ignorant that they were created for God's pleasure. Any man after God's own heart is an example. "I have found David ... a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will" (Acts 13:22).
Jesus said, "Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer" (Mark 11:17). (Also see Luke 19:46 and Matthew 21:13).
God has great pleasure in our obedience to God's will and in our dependency upon God. It is a glorious day when we learn to live for His pleasure.

Mar 23, 2026(N12)

"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (Revelation 4:11)

A study of the Holy Bible reveals that creation is centered around man. It appears God spoke most things into existence, if not all. But when it came to the man and woman they were His pleasure.

We were made for God's pleasure. God placed a high honor on us. But we have the last word. We may choose to live for His pleasure, and that is my choice.

Mar 30, 2026(N13)

"There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion ..." (Acts 10:1-4)

Cornelius was over a group of soldiers and had a great relationship with God. He was a devout man and feared God. He gave "alms to the people and prayed to God alway" (Acts 10:2).
Cornelius saw a vision and heard a voice saying, "Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God" (Acts 10:4). It is unknown to us what he prayed or how many alms he gave.
God sent a message to Peter concerning Cornelius saying "what God has cleansed, that call not thou common" (Acts 10:15). God gave Cornelius a pure heart, by faith. (Acts 15:9).
 God found pleasure in Cornelius.
How about us? Does God find pleasure in you?

"Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. John" (10:17-18a)!

"Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe" (John 19:32-35)

 God's love for man displayed.

A Morning Prayer

Lord Jesus, my heart cries out for a deeper love for you, for a greater gratitude for every door you have opened for me and every person who has helped me in my spiritual walk.
Lord, help me to line up my life to your word.
God, help me to have a greater gratitude for your love letter, inspired by the Holy Spirit for me.
Lord, help me to be a wise soul winner.
Lord, I am looking forward to the day I finish the work you have given me and hear the call, "Come home, my son."
Lord, Thank you for waking me this morning with this type of cry on my heart.

Apr 20, 2026(N16)

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.” (Revelation 2:4)

Paul urged, "Examine yourselves." (2 Corinthians 13:5)
Jesus asked about the love for Himself, "Lovest thou me, more than these?" (John 21:15)
It is apparent that Jesus could ask these words for our day.
I am going ask us some searching questions.
"Lovest thou me, more than these?" — pleasure, sports, ball games, fishing and etc.
"Lovest thou me, more than these?" — Cruises, land travel, etc.
"Lovest thou me, more than these?" — Your work, your Church doctrine, etc.
"Lovest thou me, more than these?" — Your goals for life, your money and the good opinion of people.
Be careful that you are not found with the church of Ephesus. They had left their first love. (Revelation 2:1-4)

Apr 27, 2026(N17)

And he said unto him, "If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead." (Luke 16:31)

Many people want God to speak to them personally. This passage teach God has already spoken to us through his word. The Lord's words are powerful.
On the day of Jesus betrayal, Judas and a band of officers from the chief priests came to where Jesus was located. Jesus asked them "Whom seek ye?" They said, "Jesus of Nazareth." As soon as He had said unto them, "I am he", they went backward, and fell to the ground. (John 18:4-6)
Earlier, Jesus said, "Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you" (John 15:1-4).

May 04, 2026(N18)

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33)

What are you seeking?
God had given the children of Israel manna to eat. But they became seekers after meat to eat. God gave them what they were seeking: quail for a whole month (Numbers 11:18-20). In Numbers 11:30-33, God gave them an abounding supply of quail. God gave the children of Israel their request, but sent leanness into their soul.(Psalm 106:15).
Psalm 63 is jam packed with good ideas on learning to first seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness.

I urge each of you make this your goal: "...seek ye first the kingdom of God..." (Matthew 6:33).

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." (John 14:2)

Before the cross, Jesus said that he was going to go and prepare a place for his bride.
Years later John wrote: "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband" (Revelation 21:1 -2).
I urge every true follower of Christ to present their bodies, a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto the living God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

May 18, 2026(N20)

One of the seven angels ... talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. (Revelation 21:9)

When a Christian reads Revelation 21 and realizes the preparation the living God has made for the bride, the Lamb's wife, there should be in his/her heart a deeper desire than just a ticket to heaven.
After one of my daughters became engaged, because of her love for her future husband, she began immediately to make preparation for her marriage.
As Christians, we should be more excited in making preparations for the marriage super of the Lamb, our Lord Jesus than my daughter for her wedding. (Revelation 19:7)

Paul gave some good preparation scriptures in his prayers.

May 25, 2026(N21)

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (Revelation 21:2)

Revelation 21 records that God will create a new heaven and a new earth and a new city. It is like a cube 1,200 miles wide, length and high. It is a beautiful city. It is prepared for the lamb's wife. (Revelation 21:9-16).
The lamb is Christ Jesus. In the city there will be no more tears, death, sorrow, crying nor pain. The Holy Bible says the following will not be in the city. "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone" (Revelation 21:8). Many, Many will be with the last group. (Matthew 24:4-5)

I urge you to make Christ top priority of your life.

Jun 01, 2026(N22)

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty" (Psalms 91:1).

To be under the shadow of anything, one must be close to the object that produces the shadow. This Psalms teaches the one that stays close to the Almighty God has many benefits.

  1. The Almighty is a refuge. He is also a fortress (vs2).
  2. The Almighty is a deliverer from the snare of the fowler (vs3) or them that are endeavoring to trap you.
  3. The Almighty God's truth shall be one's shield and buckler (vs4). A buckler is also a shield. Here we see the one under the shadow of the Almighty's truth has double protection.
I urge you to live in God's shadow.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report."
Hebrews 11:1-2

In January 2023, I prayed that I would "Effectively encourage Christians to wholly follow Christ." Also, may I point people to my Lord, Jesus Christ and encourage them to seek him with their whole heart until they have a relationship with him as close as the Vine and the branches.
I pray also I may live a life that I may have the glory of God on my life, that God shall receive the glory."

Now in June 2026, I add the following scripture.

I urge you to make Jesus and His word your treasure.
Read Hebrews 11 for the results.

Jun 15, 2026(N24)

Matthew 12:50; Mark 3:35; Luke 8:21

These three scriptures tell who Jesus says are his brother, his sister and his mother.

  1. Those that do the will of my father;
  2. Those that do the will of God and
  3. Those that hear the word of God and do it.
Each of us can be part of Jesus's family.
I am not telling you who will be in heaven and who won't be. But Jesus's family will be with Him.
When one does the will of God, he may suffer light afflictions according to Paul. Such as:  Remember, look to the joy unspeakable set before us.

"And he, Jesus, said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
(2 Corinthians 12:9)

Some type of circumstance had come into Paul's life. Paul called it a "thorn in the flesh". Paul said he had prayed three times that God would remove it. But God gave Paul a promise.
There is not a Christian who has not had circumstances that were very difficult. But we too have the promise from God "My grace is sufficient for thee." God's grace is sufficient for every circumstance in life.
Place your confidence in Christ.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
(2 Corinthians 5:17)

Hidden in this verse are many, many gold nuggets of God's truth that Christendom of today have ignored. But God's word has revealed all that is hidden in this verse. Mankind may ignore hidden truths, but not God.
Jesus taught us "man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). God in nature gave us a beautiful picture of 2 Corinthians 5:17. Every caterpillar becomes a new creature, a beautiful butterfly.
It pays to study God's word. Man will be judged by God's word. (John 12:48)

Jul 06, 2026(N27)

"The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament sheweth his handywork." (Psalms 19:1 KJV)

Nature declares the power of God in different ways.

 • Nature also declares the wisdom of God in things seen.
 • Nature declares the wisdom for man to be obedient to God's word.
 • Nature declares the results of wandering away from God's purpose for a person's life.
 • Nature declares the glory and power of God's word. "And God said, let be light ,and there was light" (Genesis 1:3).

Both the written word of God and the written history by man are proof of what I have written about nature and God. Jude 1:1-25 is a resource for this devotional along with archeology and scientific discoveries.
