If you have been following along with my story-building posts, you may recall that I talked about splitting my novel into three parts.
Well, part one is finished.
For any writers out there, that may sound like a suspicious statement. After all, Hemingway himself said, “The only kind of writing is rewriting.” So in that sense, maybe the first part isn’t entirely finished.
But it’s close! Since I focused so heavily on structure in this go-through, I don’t expect to make the kind of huge revisions I have been making over and over again for the past year. I don’t expect to change the core of the plot, or the main character, or most of the cast. I hope that the changes I do implement will be more cosmetic.
So that’s good news, isn’t it?
